Are visits covered by insurance?
Depending on insurance company and individual plan, your visit may be covered. I am in network with Pacific Source (commercial plans), Providence, MODA, & Blue Cross Blue Shield. Upon registration, we provide an insurance benefit checklist to guide you through a phone call with your insurance company. We encourage this, so that you are fully aware of your benefits.

What are your self pay rates?
For those uninsured or with an out of network plan, an adult initial wellness assessment costs $350, and follow ups $250. Pediatric rates are available upon request. If in need of a payment plan, we are happy to chat about options. Please call the clinic to inquire - (503) 389-5794.

What about labs?
It’s best to check with your insurance company to verify benefits, but in many cases basic labs are covered. Examples of these include screening tests to assess thyroid function, blood sugar, cholesterol, etc. Specialty lab tests, such as those for in-depth assessment of hormones and gut function, are out of pocket expenses. Several of the companies accept FSA/HSA payments.

How often will we meet?
When addressing multiple health issues, I recommend visits every 4-6 weeks for the first six months. Consistent care is vital for progress. As you’re feeling better, visits may be further spaced out - every 3-6 months, with the eventual goal of as needed care. Each person and their health journey is unique, so follow up will be tailored to individual needs & wants.

Are you able to prescribe medication?
I can prescribe medication to patients residing in Oregon. Exceptions include Adderall, testosterone, opioids, & benzodiazepines. I require regular follow up as part of safe medication management. Medications prescribed by other providers will continue to be managed by them, unless otherwise discussed.

Do you offer primary care services?
My focus is on adjunctive medical care, though I do offer some primary care services - annual wellness exams, screening labs & imaging, medication management, etc. I recommend that all patients have a primary care physician who they can reach out to after hours, since I don’t offer on-call services. If you do not have one, I’m happy to provide suggestions.
